Hotel policies
Check-in and check-out
Check-in is from 3 pm and check-out is at noon. Reception welcomes you from 8 am to 10 pm; for later arrivals we provide a personal access code to come in at any hour.
Registration
On arrival, each guest presents an official ID, shares an emergency contact and signs the house Accommodation and Registration Agreement. The agreement applies to every booking, whether made directly with the hotel or through any platform.
Rates and taxes
Rates are published per room and per night in Mexican pesos, with 16% VAT and 4% lodging tax included. The total of your stay is shown itemized before you confirm.
Confirmation and cancellation
Every booking is confirmed in writing, and that confirmation includes the payment and cancellation terms that apply to your dates.
Security deposit and charges
A refundable security deposit is requested at check-in, in cash or as a card preauthorization. Charges during your stay, from the restaurant, room service and other services, are settled before check-out; any balance is applied to the registered card or to the deposit.
Occupancy
Each room welcomes the guests registered at reception on arrival, according to its capacity. Stays by unregistered persons carry a charge of up to $1,000 MXN per person per night.
Children
Children from 0 to 4 years stay as guests of the house when sharing the existing bed. From age 5 they count as adults for room occupancy.
Breakfast
Every rate includes breakfast, served at the restaurant from 8 to 11 am from the menu reserved for hotel guests. Simply give your name and room number. Dishes from the full menu are warmly welcome and settled directly with the restaurant.
Pool
The heated rooftop pool awaits you from 9 am to 9 pm. For everyone's care, it is enjoyed with plastic drinkware, children swim with an adult at all times, and food and drinks are served in the garden and at the restaurant. The pool rules are posted on the rooftop.
A smoke free hotel
Casa Coronel is smoke and vape free throughout the house: rooms, hallways, bathrooms, parking, pool and common areas. The deep cleaning a space requires after exposure to smoke carries a charge of $1,500 MXN per incident or per night.
Pets
Rooms and common areas are devoted entirely to our guests. If you are traveling with your pet, we will gladly suggest places to stay in La Paz that are ready to welcome them.
A house for rest
Casa Coronel is lived in calm: music is enjoyed with headphones, and rooms and common areas are reserved for registered guests. For everyone's safety, the house welcomes personal belongings only; weapons, illegal substances and hazardous materials stay outside the property.
Caring for the house
Every piece of the house is cared for as your own. Replacement of anything damaged or lost, from glassware and linens to furniture, décor and equipment, is assessed by management and charged to the stay. Replacement keys carry a charge of $500 MXN for a digital key and $700 MXN for a physical key with its keychain. Air conditioning accompanies your time in the room and is switched off when you step out.
Bathrooms
The bathrooms of this historic house take toilet paper only; everything else goes in the bathroom bin. An unclogging carries a charge of $500 MXN, plus specialized repair costs when needed.
Experiences and outside services
Tours, transfers and restaurants that reception helps you book are provided by independent operators, each responsible for its own service.
Weather and utilities
During natural events or general power or water outages, the team looks after you with the best possible service, and the rate of your stay remains the same.
